The Jolly 

The Jolly Farmer is one of the few remaining family owned and run independent freehouses in the south east of England.

Our aim is to provide our guests with the highest possible standard of food, drink and accommodation in clean, attractive surroundings complimented by a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere.

A traditional ale house at heart, we have a constantly changing selection of up to 8 real ales, sourced from breweries big and small across Great Britain. Teamed with delicious, home cooked food, made with the freshest, local ingredients, we think you're going to love what we have to offer.

We try to be consistent in our opening hours but sometimes, for reasons out of our control, we are unable to offer our normal service. It’s always worth a quick call to check that we are open when you need us to be.

Beer and Wine

We're all about the beer

For almost half a century, we've been well known for our commitment to fantastic beer, we offer up to 8 daily changing real ales, sourced from breweries big and small from across great Britain. A further 10 premium lagers and craft beers from England and Europe can be found on our counter, as well as two draught English ciders. If none of these take your fancy, our beer lineup is completed by a range of bottled beers, with something for every taste.

The Crafty Brewing co. Ltd, Thatched House Farm, Dunsfold Rd, Loxhill, Godalming Surrey.

Grumpsters (3.9%) traditional copper bitter. Hop Tipple IPA (4.2%) A golden ale with a hoppy citrus aroma and a resinous, refreshing finish.

Magpie Brewery, 4 Ashling Court, Ashling St, Nottingham.

Feathers Fall (5.0%) The nights draw dark, but this brew is lighter than ever. Fair in colour and sparkling in hops, this Simcoe and Centennial DH extra pale is gentle on IBUs without relenting on pine. Oats and low crystal also add depth or autumnal sweetness to the base for good measure, meaning those attention seeking cones don’t have it entirely their own way for a change! Vegan, and brewed using green power.

Plum Porter (4.5%) A dark rich porter, with a note of roast malt and a fresh fruit aroma, with plum flavours which enhance the dark full flavour.

The Goldmark Brewery, 23 The Vinery, Arundel, West Sussex.

Liquid Gold (4.0%) A refreshing full bodied golden beer with bursts of citrus fruitiness.

Three Brewers, The Potato Shed, Symondshyde Farm, Symondshyde Lane, Hatfield, Herts.

IPA (4.6%) Golden colour with an orange tint, brewed with five hops from the UK and USA and fermented longer to give a clean and dry finish.

IPA (4.4%) A crisp golden I.P.A. brewed with a perfect balance of zesty fruits, mild liquorice and black pepper undertones

Tindall Brewery, Toad Ln, Seething, Bungay, Norfolk.

Red Sky (4.8%) American style red IPA. big, bold and fruity.

Sillhill Brewery, Oak Farm, Catherine de Barnes, Solihull, West Midlands.

Super Star (5.1%) Bursting with notes of citrus and tropical fruits, West Coast IPA boomed in the heart of San Fransisco during the 70’s and 80’s. Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot hops are crammed in, working in complete harmony with a West Coast yeast producing a beer that allows each hops’ character to take centre stage. Pale and bright; it’s big, bold and blonde, with a sweet addictive finish. Our revival of the best from the West.

New World Pale (3.9%) Citrus grapefruit flavours predominate in this lovely session ale powered by crisp new worls hops. . Rich Ruby (4.5%)  lightly Hopped with a Malty berry finish. Newark Castle Brown Ale (4.5%) Nutty caramel flavours with fruity notes. Jester and First Gold hops lead the charge.

Touch (4.0%) Wonderfully moreish easy drinking session beer. Very pale, brewed brewed with Australian hops. Final Whistle (5.0%) Full bodied premium ale.All New World Hops give a citrus flavour and aroma.

Blood Hound (4.5%) Crisp refreshing blood orange beer.

Yorkshire Pale (4.0%) Straw pale session bitter. Bursting with tropical fruits backed up with a refreshing hit of hops.

Burton Bridge Brewery Ltd, 24 Bridge Street, Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire.

Soveriegn Gold (4.0%) Sweet caramel aroma with a grassy hop start with malt overtones. Fresh and fruity with a bitterness that emerges and continues to develop.

Titanic Brewery Co Ltd, Unit 5 Callender Place, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Iceberg (4.1%) Iceberg is our iconic pale ale brewed with US hop varieties. We first brewed it way back in the nineties way before anyone had ever heard of American style pale ales. White Star (4.5%) White Star is our strong, golden ale with a uniquely crisp taste and aroma created in part by adding Summit hops late in the fermenting process.

Llama Drama (unfined & vegan) (5.2%) A double dry-hopped IPA containing a combination of four hops from America and Australia. Flavours of ripe stone fruit, citrus, coconut and mango.

Accommodation

At the Jolly Farmer we offer bed and breakfast in three beautiful double rooms, and a full suite. Filled with historic oak beams, wattle and daub walls, and oodles of character, its the perfect place for any stay.

All prices include VAT @ 20% and are room only rates. Breakfasts are available from 8:30-10 Monday to Friday and 9-10 Saturday and Sunday. cooked breakfasts are £11.50 continental £8.50

Extra child beds are available in rooms 4 & 5 0nly at a cost of £20 per night, cots for babies are available free of charge, please let us know your requirements at the time of booking. 

We allow dogs/pets in all our rooms with an additional cleaning charge of £12 per dog/pet, per night. We ask that guests bring a suitable bed for their dog/pet, and do not allow them on any furniture.

Smoking is not permitted in any of our rooms.

Check out 7am - 11:00am Monday - Saturday. 7am - 10:30am Sunday

Our accommodation is available for occupation over the Christmas period 23rd -27th December. The Minimum let is two nights and breakfast and room service are not available on the following dates…..25th, 26th Dec & 1st Jan.

We have three beautiful en suite double rooms, each with their own individual period features, All double rooms feature full en-suite bathrooms, complementary hot drinks, toiletries and sherry.

Priced FROM £90 per night for single occupancy, or FROM £115 per night for double occupancy.

 
Room 5 bed

Suite

Our full suite features a king size bed, a separate living room and en-suite shower room. Exposed wattle and daub walls, and views of Bramley's historic medieval church give our suite a unique character. Hot drinks, toiletries, and sherry included.

Priced at FROM £130.00 per night for single occupancy, or FROM £155.00 per night for double occupancy.
